Kevin Terry, a rising gospel talent and founder of the Kevin Terry & Predestined group, has recently found himself in a sex scandal with another man and is reportedly mortified after a video went viral of him. This weekend social media went blazing with the news that gospel artist Kevin Terry was part of a sextape scandal.
What made matters worse was his friend, singer Lil’ Mo, chimed in further confirming that it in fact was him in the explicit tape.
“Just saw the video of gospel singer and pastor Kevin Terry..,” one person tweeted. “Wow seriously and they wonder why people losing hope.”
“It’s a shame that our people take Joy in embarrassing and exposing situations like Kevin Terry’s,” the individual tweeted. “These saints man!! Smh!!”
“Prayers for #KevinTerry I hope he can get in church or even on his own and ask for forgiveness we are not perfect,” the tweet reads.
Kevin Terry’s Response
Terry reportedly released a message on his Facebook account that was later deleted, quoting Acts 18:10 while letting it be known that only God could judge him.
“I’m called according to (God’s) PURPOSE. My personal life is irrelevant because God can only judge,” Terry wrote in the Facebook message. “We need to put focus and more attention on helping people KEEP LIVING through the trenches of their opposition. I need as-much mercy with my struggles in life as much as you need for YOURS!!!!!”
He also called for people to pray instead of react negatively.
“YES! (we) ALL have an opinion. However, is your NEGATIVE opinion going to make any DIFFERENCE at this point to help anybody,” Terry questioned. “Let’s put more prayer on it and may God continue to (cover) YOU… his BLAMELESS People!”
Luke 12:2 reads: For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. With all the recent criticisms of the latest church related reality shows like “Preachers of L.A.”, this might have just fueled the fire. What do you think?
