I am sure you have received one gazillion Happy New Year greetings by now, but I am going to greet you with something totally different…”Happy Vision Year!” It’s time to manifest your vision in 2013! From the heart, I want to offer my New Year bottom line message to you. Say it with me, “Enough is enough! Excuses be gone! Blaming and gaming be gone! You are not welcome anymore!” Playing games with yourself and the Vision Giver are over! Go ahead and sing it like Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive.”
How do you know when it is time to manifest something that God has assigned? Quite simply, it is when He tells you to do it and when He first puts it in your spirit! I think about Moses’ in the Old Testament. After God had revealed Himself to Moses and shared with Moses what He wanted him to do, God didn’t say, “Oh, just do it when you get good and ready.” But He expected Moses to act immediately upon His Word.
Facing The Real Issues…
God expected Moses to begin taking steps to deliver the children of Israel from their place of bondage, which was Egypt right then. What was Moses’ immediate response to God’s instructions?
Moses: “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”
Issue at Hand: Fear of rejection; questioning his identity, questioning the assignment, questioning God’s ability to work through him
Moses: “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?”
Issue at Hand: Fear of people; giving people power and control over you.
Moses: “What if they do not believe me or listen to me and say, ‘The Lord did not appear to you’?”
Issue at Hand: Fear of not being believed or listened to; unbelief and lack of faith, doubt
Moses: “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.”
Issue at Hand: Fear of being seen as incompetent, being called a fake or fraud, lack of confidence; fear of not being able to perform, fear of the past.
Moses: “Pardon your servant, Lord. Please send someone else.”
Issue at Hand: Insulting God by questioning His ability to delegate and plan (Whew! I know this one really pinches, right?)
If it all sounds familiar, read Jeremiah 29:11. Now ask yourself: What’s the real issue at hand that keeps me from manifesting the vision?
Let’s begin the year by identifying the issues at hand, renouncing them in Jesus’ Name (exercising your spiritual authority), then coming up with a plan (exercising your natural authority) to BEGIN manifesting. Remember faith without works is DEAD.
Lovingly pushing you to manifest,
